I’ve always loved celebrations. As a child, I found any excuse to throw a party and was often found decorating, testing new recipes, or engaged in DIY projects. The art of event design and styling came naturally to me---and as I matured, I fell more and more in love with the process.
Genuine excitement develops when I’m in the creative working zone. Crafting mood boards, selecting the perfect rentals, or mixing colors and textures are just examples of projects that bring me joy. It’s because of this passion that my clients and I bond—and like a boost of energy, we form a rewarding partnership. I pride myself on my ability to connect with them, and we often become friends well after the party is over.
From research to list-making, from the pragmatic to the wildly creative, I adore helping clients envision their wedding day---sometimes discovering ideas they didn’t even know they had! I am fortunate to have a team behind me (affectionately coined “The SHE Babes”), who share my passion for planning, organization, and creativity. We take the time to get to know our clients, curating details to produce personalized experiences.
I’m a born and raised Southern California girl, currently residing in Ventura County with my husband of more than a decade and our two beautiful children. I am beyond grateful to be living this wonderful life with them by my side and to be able to pursue my passion for events.
A true romantic at heart, I believe in the beauty of a lifelong marriage. My own marriage offers me insight into the weaving of two lives and I consider it a privilege to plan weddings, which represent such an important moment in couple’s lives.
Although the wedding day is important, I never lose sight of its true significance: the intertwining of two people in love. I feel there is no better way to embark on life together than by starting with a perfectly planned and executed wedding day! I had my first taste of weddings while working at a local venue and immediately knew that this was my calling. Dubbed the “Jill of all trades,” I discovered I could put my coordinating and design talents to good use.
I adore all things bridal, which includes picking textures, colors, and designing mood boards (some of my favorite activities)! The Star Hansen Events team celebrates our highest potential---where I can exercise my creativity, ambition, and planning precision.
I am known for making our clients happy and for my ability to keep calm under pressure. As a native Californian, I mix sunny inspiration with flawless organization and beautiful design.
One of my favorite parts about the planning process is getting to know my clients on a personal level and helping them to create an event that is personalized and uniquely theirs. I really enjoy helping them hone their wedding day vision and mixing colors, textures and selecting unexpected pieces or experiences that might not have been originally thought of.
At the end of the day, the love that a wedding brings can fulfill me for years. I feel so lucky that our clients allow me to be apart of the most personal and special day of their lives.
